Monday

Monday - Business English and M'dina

Monday, one day after a very funny week-end, we started our day earlier, which was a bit exhausting for us.
We woke up at 6:30 a.m. After saying good bye to the host family we went to school. At this morning our
topic was Business English which was very interesting for us because we expierenced new cultures and their
habits. We did a lot of exercises, such as assigning conventions to continents.
After school we got picked-up by Glen, our class guide, and went to M'dina, a very interesting city, regarding
the fact that it was once the capital city of Malta. There we met Victoria, the tour guide, who had shown us
Gozo and Valletta a few days before. Actually, the tour wasn't that long, so it was not that much information we
were given and so we still have pleasent memories of M'dina. To give an example, when the enemy attacked
the city, the women had to help defending the enemy by throwing hot oil at the assaulters. Later, when the
tour was over, some guys of our class did some kind of interviews with Victoria. The bus took us home to our host family,
where we had our nerv-killingly delicious dinner.
When we were finished we decided to take a walk on the promenade nearby the sea. While doing this, we did some interviews
about our topic "School System". We figured out that the Maltese people are quite friendly.
Counting all things together this day was exciting, educating and a lot of fun.
