Azur Window
Today we had our full day trip to Gozo. Gozo is one of the seven neighbor islands of Malta. It’s known for its amazing sights, which attract the tourists all over the world.
At first we were at the Azur Window, which basically is just a rock over the sea, which looks like a table. A really tremendous table. Although our really well informed tourist guide did not recommend us to walk onto it, some people did it. Fortunately they are still alive.
There was also the optionally possibility to book a boat tour through the Blue Grotto, which is next to the Azur Window. It was an amazing, breath taking tour on the sea.
Everything seemed to be extremely colossal. The captain also was pretty cool, because he showed us some nearly unknown places and symbols in the stone. For instance he showed us a grinny face in a big rock. Or a sledge, which looked like a crocodile lying on a rock.
Later on we visited Rabatt, a small town surrounding the Citadel. It is really ancient.
You are able to see the whole island Gozo, when you are at the top of the Citadel. It is really recommendable.
Last but definitely not least, we went to Ramla Bay – a beach covered with red sand.
Although we have got April most of us went swimming into the sea. The water had about 17 degrees.
All in all it was an awesome trip, we took many photos and enjoyed chilling on the beach. It was so nice that we are thinking about visiting Gozo again on Monday.
